Statement: Dear young sportsfriends!
You have come to Austria from over thirty countries worldwide so that you can participate in an international football tournament that has a seventeen year tradition.
As participants at a sports competition it is, of course, important for you to win. However there can only be one winner who proudly goes home with the trophy.
But it won’t be a lost week for all the others, who were eliminated earlier, or even advanced up to either the quarter- or semi finals. On the contrary; you will have made frienships, met youngsters from other countries, countries you most probably will never visit…in other words-
You will broaden your horizon.
Sporting events such as this football tournament also always mean that you have to fight against each other in a competitive way. But what actually stays in your mind is not the idea of against each other but rather the idea of togetherness, to experience things together, so there are no loosers only winners.
With this in mind I wish you all a nice and exciting journey of discovery and most of all a lot of fun playing football.
