Statement:
The Upper Austria Football Association has made the spotting of talented youngsters its main concern. The "Austrian Way" includes a general talent spotting system. It is our duty to implement this high quality and internationally recognised concept in our society and as a result make a contribution to the positive development of our youth.
The "Austrian Way" is a long-term concept whose results and success can only be assessed in a few years. Patience and a certain form of stubbornness will be needed to bring about this success.
For the development of our talents it is very important that they can compete with the best. The Upper Austria Cup allows tomorrows stars the possibility to compare themselves with other national and international teams.
As a result the Upper Austria Cup is a good assessment system for the realization of the "Austrian Way" We should give our talents the necessary support for their sportive and personal development and of course also the necessary time.
I want to express my thanks to all the people responsible and wish you all success.
I wish the players fair and injury-free games and for the supporters I wish great and exciting games.
